Program Overview

The DOJ Accreditation Readiness Program™ provides comprehensive professional training for individuals preparing to work within nonprofit immigration service organizations and pursuing DOJ Recognition and Accreditation (R&A) designation under 8 C.F.R. Part 1292. The program covers the full operational and compliance framework required for effective, ethical practice within authorized scope: U.S. immigration system fundamentals, USCIS process procedures, ethics and professional boundaries, client intake systems, document collection standards, nonprofit operations, and career launch systems.

This is professional workforce training. This program does not provide legal advice and does not prepare participants to serve as attorneys or legal representatives. Participants are trained in the documentation workflows, intake procedures, compliance standards, and ethical frameworks that define competent non-attorney practice within the DOJ R&A program. All instruction is designed to prepare practitioners for the specific responsibilities of accredited representatives and immigration services professionals working within recognized nonprofit organizations.

The DOJ R&A program provides a critical access-to-justice function for immigrant populations who cannot access private immigration attorneys. Trained, ethical, competent practitioners at recognized nonprofits are the operational foundation of that system. This program prepares professionals to enter that workforce at a level that meets the institutional expectations of recognized organizations, program funders, and the EOIR accreditation reviewers who evaluate practitioner competency.
